Meet our young students who had the opportunity to attend some of our daytime classes during the summer holidays.
Sisters Grace and Evie completed a number of projects during their two morning sessions and are pictured here showcasing their favourite. Their grandma Susan is a regular student and the girls are keen to follow in grandma’s footsteps in gaining confident sewing skills!
Eleven year old Jessica was accompanied by her grandma Maureen who, although a non-sewer recognised the value of nurturing a desire to learn how to sew at an early age. Jessica made an unlined tote bag in her first lesson and then a lined version with front pocket over a further two lessons.
Nine year old Lai-yen attended a number of classes with him mum Lina and made an iPad cover, An organiser bag for his games console, a pillowcase and inner sleeping bag liner for his camping trip and a tote shopper to complete the list!
All our youngsters worked really hard and thoroughly enjoyed their experience. I’m confident that they will continue to improve their new found skills in the future.
